Year 2 - Royal Gunpowder Mills Trip

Year 2 took a trip back in time to 1605 and the ‘Great Gunpowder Plot.’ They learnt about what it was like to live in the time of Guy Fawkes and the history behind the famous plot. The children had a chance to make their own quill and try out writing with ink. They learnt about the food and customs of the time. They made lanterns and played with toys that can still be recognised today.
