Penalties end Raglan fight!

The Raglan Girls’ Team exceeded all expectations to make it through to the final of the Enfield Tournament at St John’s Senior School. Defeating Merryhills 2-1 in their opening game, the team then went on to beat their usual nemesis, Lavender, 2-0 in a hard-fought game. Up against Galliard, our local rivals, in the final, the girls made a bright start, taking the lead through another Tila goal! A quick comeback from Galliard, followed by much pressure but no reward from our forwards, led to a 1-1 draw and the prospect of extra time and penalties. No goals in extra time and some good saves by the Galliard keeper in the shoot out, meant our dreams were shattered as we lost 3-2 in a dramatic end to a brilliant run.
An excellent performance from all the girls, Rachel, Chelsea, Mia, Ellie, Tila, Amy, Georgia and Mel!
