Is Raglan Ready? It’s Table Tennis Time!!!

For the first time at Raglan, Table Tennis has pinged onto the after school club scene! Every Thursday 20 children from years 3-6 will be slogging it out against each other under the expert tutelage of Mr. Palmer and Mr. Hitchens, who both have a passion for this great sport. In a matter of weeks the standard has improved with some children now able to hold rallies and others participating in competitive matches with some outstanding shots thundering from one end of the smooth green table to the other.
A sport of skill and precision; we hope to increase hand eye coordination and hopefully encourage children to get involved in one of the less common sports played across the country.
We are extremely grateful to the RSA who have kindly supplied us with the funds for two brand new table tennis tables, which are now up and running, along with two purchased using the Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers.
Raglan look set to pong for a long time to come!
